Search stalls when searching for `com` in domain field

We had a return statement here, and the query was taking too long so that when this line was hit and checking the status of the query it was not “Finished” and it would return. Meaning, the search result will not be rendered, and it would not even try to requery again, it would just do nothing. We had to remove that for it to go down to make another attempt, by the time, the query should be finished and the page will happily render the search result
