Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication

 We'll start with a high-level summary of how to complete initial registration and setup MFA (multi-factor authentication), and then we'll get into detailed steps. For FAQs around MFA, please see this article.

Summary

• Creation of your account credentials through a registration email. 

• Log in to your account for the first time, or if you are a returning user, you may reset your password using the Forgot Your Password link.

• Check your email for a verification code, then enter a new password for your account.

• Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone. If you don’t have an authenticator app installed, we recommend LastPass Authenticator.

  Optionally, you can skip MFA setup for now and log in to the CyberGRX Portal using your username and password only. Please note: this may put your account at higher risk.

• After scanning the QR code, you will see a 6-digit security code, refreshing every 30 seconds. Enter the 6-digit security code on the MFA setup screenKeep your authenticator app active after configuration for the 6 digit code found within will be required upon each, future login.

• Once your security code is verified, you are now logged in and ready to continue using the CyberGRX Portal.

Detailed Steps

1. Select complete registration in your registration email sent from [e-mail].

• This will open a web browser to create your password. Input password that meets criteria, select submit and you will be auto-routed to our login page. 
• If you are not auto-routed, please navigate to portal.cybergrx.com/login and enter the email associated with your account and your newly created password. 

2. Log in to your account at portal.cybergrx.com.

• Enter your email and password and login. 
• If you have already undergone the full registration process, you have the option to reset your password, if necessary. You may do so by clicking Forgot Your Password to reset your account.

3. Reset your password.

• When you log in to the new portal for the first time, you must reset your password. You will receive an email with a verification code to reset your password.
• Copy & paste the code into the Verification Code field on the Reset Password screen.
• Enter a new password. 
• The password requirements are listed below the password input and will check your password as you type.
• Click Verify.

 

4. Set up MFA with your preferred authenticator app.

• Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone. If you don’t have an authenticator app installed, we recommend LastPass Authenticator.
• Optionally, you can skip MFA setup for now and log in to the CyberGRX Portal using your username and password only.

• After scanning the QR code, you will see a 6-digit security code, refreshing every minute. Enter the 6-digit security code on the MFA setup screen.
• Keep your authenticator app active after configuration for the 6 digit code found within will be required upon each, future login.

5. You’re all set!

• Once your security code is verified, you are now logged in and ready to continue using the CyberGRX portal.
